Summary
It's been 10 years since Mi-an had made the choice to move to Sandrock, meeting the energetic builder from Highwind and fulfilling their promise to each other in making a difference in the town's livelihood. During her daily routine one Autumn day, Mi-an overhears rumors of a newly uncovered ruin in the Shonash Canyon. Convincing her coworker and friends, they prepare to go diving. The builder duo get more than they bargain for when they they discover not only a pre-calamity Laboratory but and intact sleep chamber with someone inside. The aftermath of opening it has its perks but also consequences, resulting in a drastic change in the citizens, the town of Sandrock itself, and in Mi-an.

This is going to be a novelization of the game with 2 builders based on mine and my IRL husband's characters. Mostly because I have no life and you guys inspired me to hop back into writing fanfics after nearly 20 years. I will try to stay faithful to the material for the most part, with a few of my head canons sprinkled in. Comments and constructive criticism is very much welcome, as I'm using this as a jumping point to get back into my publishable novel. I hope you enjoy. I will post any major triggers that I can, other than game typical violence, in the notes before the chapter in BOLD letters. The worst of it is in Chapter 9, and can largely be skipped.

·于微博和小红书首发于2024年3月末，本次搬运修正了一些时间上的谬误和名字的误记，因此写作“修正版”。
·每位工坊主推剧情的时间顺序各有差别（行文需要个别段落甚至都没严格按照触发顺序写），主线和支线交织的方式以笔者自己推剧情时的进度为准，并辅以一些受限于系统而无法在游戏中实现的互动演绎，所以千万不要说“啊这和我推剧情的顺序不一样”之类的话。

Lucy enjoyed books— any she could get her hands on. She appreciated hard work, took pleasure in creating and her parents told her to build a career off something that lasts… Well bridges and water towers mostly did, right?
So, that’s exactly what she did. She helped build back Sandrock. Hero? Maybe. Courageous? Sure. Fulfilled? Possibly… but that’s what she should feel, right?That comes into question after something simple. Andy mentioned something offhanded one day that led down a road of inconceivably dumb luck and perhaps building something more. Life isn’t just about building up a town; sometimes, in a rare few, the town builds up something more in a person. Lucy experienced such growing pains after the routine returned to Sandrock.
This takes place in contrast to Cornered Beasts. It is another take on how a rough-and-tumble yakboy finds himself running into a thick-as-magnesium steelhead.

Summary
Kay is a teacher who comes to Sandrock together with Jane to work at the new school. This is the story of how they learn to live in the desert, get used to it's environment. Kay tries to balance being a responsible adult and educator while tripping head over heels for the beautiful doctor. Fang, now more receptive to making new friends, finds himself interested in knowing more about the new teacher.
This work is set in the same AU as the other stories in Nighttime Treasures, though it should stand alone without needing you to read the other fics to understand what is happening. That said, some quest events happen out of order, but readers should assume that Selene from Moonlight Running was the one to do most of the friendship quests that help Fang open up, so he is already at a point past the quest What's "Hanging Out?" when Kay meets him.
