Summary

Summary
What if there was a super villain school called Gaea Academy? What if Warren’s father sent him there instead of letting him go to Sky high the way his mother wanted? What if the distinct lack of super-human omegas resulted in Ethan being kidnapped and taken to Gaea Academy? How would he survive? Who could he trust? And what if the son of Barron Battle decided to save him from certain misery at the hands of another villain?

Summary
Will and Warren talk. Once again, Warren is terrible.
Stronghold’s lips pressed together in a line that was very near ruler straight. “Shower. There’s a new toothbrush in there.” He turned and walked to the threadbare armchair in the corner. He didn’t turn as he said, “Don’t run. You’re too damned hungover to ignite, and I’m not sure I’d stop after I kneecapped you.”
Warren told the truth. “None of them would forgive me if I hurt you.”
Stronghold gave a wrenching laugh. “I think you’ve already done everything you can in that direction.”
Warren didn’t manage to parse that until after he’d run icy water over his head for a while.
Warren had taken Stronghold’s friends and Stronghold’s parents. Warren had what he had because Will Stronghold didn’t.

Summary
"It'll be okay," Warren said. "Eventually." Warren had all the time in the world.
Ethan had none. "Layla said you wanted pets."
"You're people. I'm not going to forget that." Warren’s words had the weight of a promise he intended to keep. He met Ethan’s eyes. “If I don’t count the babies, I could lose most of a hand and still have enough fingers to count everyone who’s real. One hand for the five of us.”
Warren’s mother would be on the other hand. His father might be but probably wasn’t. Nobody else was.

Summary
Hiding what Layla could do only required two killings, and Warren managed both of them before his prisoners regained consciousness. His people had kept them unconscious long enough for Warren to wake and be able to think. Keeping Ethan under had been hard, apparently, but no one bothered telling Warren that until he asked two weeks later.
One of the necessary murders was a woman named Jennifer Anglin who had been the one to strip Layla and Magenta while they were unconscious. She’d found seeds stuck to Layla’s skin without any perceptible adhesive. If she’d put the pieces together and told one or the other of Warren’s parents before telling Warren, she’d have survived.
As it was, Warren simply had a tantrum. Later, when talking to his father, he put it down to after effects from having been poisoned and said that he’d lost control.
His father told him that, in the future, he should try to direct such things at less valuable people.

Summary
Layla kind of hated having to hope that all Warren wanted was pets because that meant admitting that it was up to him. Everything that happened-- or didn’t-- was at the whim of a fifteen year old boy who’d decided he wanted them based on a week’s acquaintance.
She supposed it wouldn’t matter much to her or her friends if Warren destroyed them accidentally or deliberately, just how much it hurt getting there.
