Having not been allowed to show up to Waller’s roof scene, John continues to find reason to work at Batman’s side — only mid-adventure something goes wrong and suddenly tension is running high between the likes of bats and clowns. If only Bruce wasn't such a lost cause, or John so.. John, then maybe things could run a lot smoother.

Now he has the best plan to get Batman's attention, which is to put a bomb on a very public building with a lot of people inside of it, but before he can activate it, his best enemy appears to stop him. Now a lot of entangled and complicated feelings that John had tried to repress away are very obvious and can't be hidden anymore.

When the guilt still eats at you when you think about how all he wanted was to do the right thing. You can't help but think about bringing back Batman to help him out.
