Tommy was doing good for himself.
He was climbing up the ranks of the hero’s, gaining respect and fame.
Helping people, saving lives.Living alongside his best friend Tubbo, who was basically his brother at that point.
They had been close for as long as Tommy had known him.But when Tubbo begins to find holes in the systems of hero’s and government (with the help of a certain black and white villain) he leaves Tommy’s side.
Tommy had a choice to make.
To let his best friend go, the boy he had known since forever.
Or.
To follow him to the place that all his life he had been told to stay away from, the place that he and Tubbo had been fighting against for years.But to hell if Tommy wasn’t going to pick a third option.
(This whole thing is just going to be me being obsessed with both the Dream SMP and Hadestown. And listening to the soundtrack about a million times until outcomes this monstrosity.)

It was sort of mesmerizing to watch, like one of those ‘oddly satisfying’ videos. Does Quackity want to win the election? Yes, he loves his home and wants nothing more than to see it thrive.
Does Schlatt want to win the election? Yes, he sees the potential in holding power in the up-and-coming nation.But obviously they can't all win, and whether they know it or not, they each have a lot more to lose than just the title of President or Vice President of L'manberg.
