Mercymorn the First, Second Saint to serve God after the Resurrection, considers her relationship with her physical body over the first five thousand years of her Lyctorhood and how it has changed her. She carries the burden of grief from Cristabel's death. This is my first time writing Mercymorn; I wanted to experiment with how grief and anatomy intersect.

This fic does not have graphic or explicit depictions of sex, rape, or violence, but it does briefly mention both consensual sex, dubious consent (brief mention/description of sex that characters maybe can't say no to because of the implications of saying no to God), and canon-typical violence.
