Summary
Chongyun has been asking himself a lot of questions since he was old enough to understand things. But a lot of these questions remains unanswers.
He doesn't know why he ends up studying law to become a judge; why he eats at this restaurant every night; why he sells ice cream after class; why he listens to rock music when he's supposed to hate it; why he befriends a released ex-murderer; why he chooses to take boring philosophy courses....
In the friendly streets of Liyue, Chongyun doesn't necessarily find his way around. Lost in a routine that he is also questioning, his life, his whole life, has never been so impacted by the past, the present and certainly the future.
And yet he never, ever thought he'd question his sexuality.---
English's not my first language, I originally wrote this story in french and to be honest my motivation is so poor that I just use a tranlator (many of chapters are more than 2000 words so no thank you lmao), hope you understand my decision :')

Summary
Xingqiu and Chongyun grew apart ten years ago. Both of them have their own respective successful careers: Xingqiu as a ruthless businessman and Chongyun as a prolific exorcist although one once disdained materialism and the other repelled demons by existing. When a family tragedy strikes Xingqiu, Chongyun returns to Liyue Harbor to be there for his old...friend. At least, that's why he thought he was there. But for some reason, this "old friend" feels so unfamiliar now. And he just wants to know...why? And serial wound-reopener Xingqiu seeks some answers of his own. In other words, Xingqiu loses his vision and they discover a plot that started ten years ago as they rediscover each other.
I've been sitting on these drafts for a while and I kept editing, planning, changing plans...But I'm finally gonna go for it! First time writing a fic and not beta'd, something something we die like men. Fingers crossed I got the tags right. I'm tossing this out into the wild and hopefully it sparks joy somewhere, somehow, sometime! Weekly updates. Smut in Chapter 8 and Epilogue (will add warning so that they'll be easy to skip). Some NPCs die but that's the life of a NPC, innit?

The silence Xingqiu usually welcomed as a moment of solitude was hostile and suffocating. Dark thoughts crept into his mind and interrupted every verse, keeping Xingqiu engrossed more than the plot of the novel.
