Summary
“Sol,” groans Thomas, trying to resist grinding his hips forward against where he can feel Sol is already hard. “Let me turn on the shower, we’re going to be late.”
“No,” says Sol. “Want you like this.”
“We should go,” Thomas half-protests, but Sol doesn’t listen, choosing instead to trace the tip of his tongue up Thomas’ jugular towards his jaw. “We can pick this back up after— Fuck.”
“Let me have you like this,” Sol whispers in his ear.
In the locker room after Thomas scores a hat trick in a match, he and Sol find their own private way to celebrate.

Summary
Tom Jopson never desired an interesting life. He served King Francis. He daydreamed about the day he would be able to marry Edward Little, the man he had loved since childhood — a childhood spent in a town that believed him to be a girl, despite the fact that he knew otherwise.
And yet was happy, he thought — or at least something close to it — serving and dreaming and pretending to be someone he wasn’t. But then came the King’s despair, leaving him unfit to rule. Then came Sir John, with his heavy taxation policies and brutal hand over the people. Tom’s careful peace had begun to fall apart, and he was forced to take matters into his own hands.
With the Sheriff of Nottingham on his tail, only a handful of other criminals and one of the Sheriff’s own deputies on his side, and the man he loves stuck in the castle under Sir John’s control, Tom is left with only one option: see his home set free, or die trying.

Summary
Sol was already a few drinks in when he got to Ned’s flat. He wasn’t drunk, per se, but he wasn’t fully sober, either, and he was definitely at least tipsy enough to show up at his best friend’s place at 11pm on a Thursday without calling first. Ned wouldn’t have plans anyways, he figured. He had just finished up his last job, he was single (as always), and most importantly, Sol wanted to see him, so therefore, he had to be there.
He had an extra key. Ned had given it to him for emergencies, which Sol had taken to mean “whenever you and your piece of shit boyfriend break up and you need a place to be that’s not the flat you share with the asshole drummer of your band who you know is gonna take his side any time the two of you fight.” Ned’s words, not his. Mostly.
Fresh off yet another breakup with Neil Hickey, Sol seeks out comfort from his oldest and closest friend. Trouble is, in the few weeks since Sol had last seen him, Ned seems to have found someone new. Sol is fully prepared to hate him. Unfortunately, he doesn't.

Summary
Little moistened his lips with his tongue and said, “I wish you wouldn’t.”
“Wouldn’t what? Sully myself? It’s a bit too late for that, sir, I’m afraid. I’ve been a sailor for a long time, and before that, well…”
“I wish you wouldn’t with him.”

Solomon Tozer is fucked. Welly and truly, tip to toe, he is fucked. Not even in a fun, sexy way, either- closer to a fucked-up ankle, unemployed, technically homeless kind of way.

Summary
He is achingly beautiful, even here at the end of the world. Even as his teeth rot out of his head and he wastes away in front of him, Thomas Jopson is beautiful. Sol might say as much if they were still aboard the ships– if it were a year ago, and the sun danced across those big blue-green eyes.

Summary
It had been Jopson’s fault. Tozer would cling to that fact until his dying day. Jopson was someone who rarely made mistakes, and so the few that he did had to be leapt upon and hoarded carefully in case they were needed in future, maybe to win an argument or just to score points.
