“Ugh, don’t say it like that,” Bakugou cringed. “I can’t believe I’m stuck in your loser body.”
It was strange watching himself. It was like an out-of-body experience, and well, it literally was.
“My body is nice,” he argued.
“Sure, it is,” Bakugou said sarcastically. “Tch, and I have to go sleep in your room next to your All Might shrine.”
Deku silently pointed at the bookcase with only All Might merch on it.
“You shut up,” he snapped, face flushing. “That—That’s different!”
Or, when Bakugou and Deku get hit with a body-swapping quirk, they learn a little bit more about each other's struggles.

To make sure Izuku’s embers last as long as humanly possible, while also getting his mind off of the war, Katsuki gives him the distraction he needs during the fall term: a trip to the Fall Festival. He knows it’s Izuku’s favorite season, he’s into all of the fall shit, so he goes and takes him. He goes to offer him some warm apple cider and pick out a pumpkin for them to carve and go on hayrides and through the corn maze. He also hopes at some point, he can also tell the nerd how he really feels, finally realizing that it’s now or never.
Yet, throughout the whole time, his fellow classmates disrupt and throw off his plan to get together with Izuku.

It fumbles from his fingers, promptly falling off the side of the building, Izuku sighing as he watches it go. “All those concussions already took half your brain, you tryna turn the other half into dust, shitnerd?”

Attempting to regain some sense of normality after the war, the world slowly re-opens its doors. Izuku returns home a changed man, the embers of the war still haunting him, nightmares endlessly mocking him. He's far from who he used to be and for better or worse, you meet him halfway.
Thus an unspoken agreement to lean on each other, an attempt to distract and heal. You both soon find out that it's impossible to put back together missing pieces with broken fingers.
Katsuki hated secrets, the war didn't change that, it enhanced it. Finally getting over the abandonment, he refuses to the let the stupid nerd once again ruin himself by ruining you. As he slowly breaks down your defenses, he's quick to learn the way you too so highly hate so many parts of yourself. So he butts in. He barges where he's not asked for and unbeknownst to him, proves why he's the hero you've always looked up to.
