Summary
Her brows raise the second he opens his mouth. “You’re American?”
“Straight outta Kansas,” he nods, grimacing as his wad of napkins does nothing but push liquid around. “That’s the one smack dab in the middle.”
The heat in her gaze softens a touch as she looks at him with curious eyes. “Isn’t that the place from the Wizard of Oz?”
or, And so it was written.
No matter how many universes there may be — a multitude of cosmic entities weaving the fabric of fate itself — Ted Lasso and Rebecca Welton find each other in all of them, in one way or another.

Summary
“Well, Ted, I hope you’ve got something special up your sleeve,” Rupert began, a cloying smile pursing his lips, “because let’s face it, you need another loss like a bullet in the head.” He laughed.
Ted flinched, hard. It wasn’t lost on either Rupert, who grinned nastily, or Trent whose wide eyes began to track Ted’s movements. Trent watched Ted move his hands, which had begun to shake, into his lap.
Ted swallowed. His ears were ringing and try as he might to swallow back or breathe past his panic, he felt like an animal scooped up and trapped in a net. He shoved his chair back and stood up slurring what was supposed to be “I have to go to the bathroom,” but came more like “ahtogobroom”.

Summary
Ted Lasso didn’t love him.
Well, as a friend he probably did. Ted loved everyone, but he wasn’t in love with Trent. Not in the head-over-heels, arse-over-teakettle way that Trent was with him.
Still, he was going to tell him.

Summary
Ted has an unfortunate habit of running into Trent on first dates. How many times can he keep doing this before something gives?
This is a half baked idea I had borne out of the need to see anyone write bisexual Trent Crimm. I'm writing off the cuff directly in ao3/notes app on my phone.
Be the bisexual representation you want to see in the world, I guess.
🩷💜💙I'm on twt too, @strangeannamaul, if you wanna say hi there.
Update: oh my god, I've done it! This beast is finished! 50k words, almost one month, and a day shy of the release of season three episode one. I can't believe I did it! Actually saw something through to the end!
Kudos and comments keep me alive, so thank you to each and every one of you who let me know you liked this. 🫶 You're the GOAT.

In which Coach Beard offers a few key people some choice insights into one Ted Lasso.
-------
Roy pops open the PDF. It’s a scanned document, a few pages long, written in black ink in Beard’s weirdly neat handwriting. The note at the top reads: Ted Lasso does not need to be protected. He deserves to be protected. There is a difference. If you’re reading this, it means you understand that difference. Following are my observations, gained from anecdotes, experience, and general knowledge. If you abuse these in any way, I will know.

Summary
They stood on the sidewalk, neither wanting the night to end. Trent knew that if they turned left, they'd be heading towards Ted's flat, and turning right would lead to his. It was too soon, this was too fragile, for the night to end up at either of those locations. "Shall we go for a walk?" he asked Ted.

Summary
After a few minutes, Patrick notices that Trent’s attention has wandered from David to a group of people standing near their table. It’s a group of three men, who Patrick assumes are the team’s coaches. They look too old to be players, and they just have that look about them that he recognizes from years of playing sports. One is frowning, with his eyebrows furrowed, one has a beard, and the third man has the kind of thick mustache Patrick associates with Magnum, P.I.

Summary
“C’mon, boss, don’t you want to see what we’re going to be facing next season?”
She’d smiled indulgently at him from over the rim of her teacup, amused at his relentless insistence that he’d follow through on the promise he’d made her. “Ted, we saw what we were facing up close and personal.”
“But not with a couple pints in hand and our friends around us, though,” he’d needled. “Roy and Keeley already said they’d come, so you’d just be leaving me all alone in a foreign country without a companion to show me the ins and outs of proper pub etiquette. What do you say?”
And, really, she needed to find a way to say no to Ted Lasso.
"Alright," she sighed. "Tonight, then."
(Or, Ted and Rebecca and Roy and Keeley head out for a night at The Crown and Anchor and some girl talk in the bathroom leads to some revelations for Rebecca about her favorite coach.)
