    Peter Parker is a lonely wolf shifter, with no family left and no pack to call his own. An assignment to Willow's Run as Professor Stark's research assistant brings him face to face with the local wolf shifter pack led by the indomitable Alpha wolf Steve, his brutal Beta Bucky... and the mysterious shifter Wade who hides his scars and trauma in the shadows, but can't help being drawn to the light in Peter's smile and the claim of 'mate' in his weary soul.

    The wolf blurred human in the next blink, over tall and over muscled, every inch of his body scarred and eyes still lit amber, fangs out as if he were struggling to put his shift away completely, and Peter gasped quietly when his own shift stirred in immediate wanting response to the other wolf.

    "Peter Parker." Wade's voice was hoarse from disuse, ragged from ruined vocal cords, his hand rough as he set it at Peter's neck and bent in to audibly scent at his throat. "Who do you belong to?"

    "You." Peter shuddered as he felt his soul align with the other shifter, an echo of 'mine' rolling through his consciousness as instinct and need clawed up tight in his chest. "...I belong to you."

    Everyone wants to know if Spider-Man's found his soulmate and if they're the lucky winner.
    Thing is, Peter wouldn't know and he doesn't really care, cause he doesn't draw for his soulmate, who he's been ignoring for years.
    “You, don’t?” Deadpool said, oh so slowly, drawing the words over his tongue as foreign to him as a new language he’s never spoken before, emotionlessly repeating what Peter had said in an attempt to hear it back and understand it the second time.
    “I don’t draw to my soulmate anymore, I guess I haven’t in a long time.” Peter confirmed again, just as slowly and carefully because he still didn’t know how Pool was going to react.
    “How- how could you fucking not?” There was the disgusted, even knowing it was a possibility it still cut him to his core.

    When massage therapist!Peter gets a call for a meet-and-greet appointment in a ritzy part of town, he doesn’t expect tall, scarred and holy muscles to open the door. Drawn first to Wade’s smile and then to the pain radiating out from the soldier, Peter tries to do everything he can to help Wade while also fighting his own attraction because ho ho holy crap is it a bad idea to sleep with clients. He is NOT that kind of massage therapist.

    Ex- soldier!Wade can hardly leave the house any more, too wracked with pain to make it very far out the door, too self conscious of his ruined skin to attempt dating or even friendships. But when Peter smiles at him, laughs with him, and somehow isn't icked out by Wade’s… mess… he starts thinking that maybe life could be something good again.

    Healing happens with both hands and hearts, and if Peter can manage to stay even a little bit professional long enough for Wade to get up the courage to ask him on a date, maybe they’ll find another use for all that massage oil.
