For certain fleeting moments, V feels glimmers of hope that he’ll survive this shit. Maybe they both will, somehow. As much as V wants Johnny out of his head, if he’s honest he doesn’t really want him gone.

What V did for her.. Despite her stabbing them in the back, leaving them for dead.. So Mi refuses to forget. So she does some digging..
A few days after she arrived on the moon.. There was a Siege on Arasaka Tower. One Solo, Armed to the teeth, determined as all hell, tore their way through to the basement. No body to be found. But judging by Yorinobu's Personal Bodyguard having their Skull Split open at the bottom.. They made it out Alive.

2 and a half years after V had given her life for his, an exhausted and mourning Johnny was finally able to extract V’s engram from cyberspace. And with the reluctant help of Rogue, her runner Nix and some other figures of their pasts, Johnny was able to find the actual location of his cryo-vac’d body.
With V back, Johnny now must confront his complicated feelings for her. But admitting his feelings for her is so much harder when he is constantly bombarded with guilt and self-doubt. V was back, he’s meant to be relieved –he is! But he’d been most comfortable within her mind and her in his. Now they’re mostly separated the uncertainty has him spiral through his own cracked mind as he slips back into old habits.
And for V, returning to the world of the living brings its own disquiet. The city has moved on; why can’t she? Haunted by fragments of Johnny left behind by the relic, she struggles with who she has become. Is this who she always was, or are pieces of herself gone, replaced by remnants of him? As they navigate a city that’s as unforgiving as ever, V and Johnny must each grapple with what they’ve gained, what they’ve lost, and whether they can be whole – together, or apart.

One year later, Johnny drifts across the NUSA, going from town to town, never wanting to stop, living the life of a Nomad. He's been given a New Dawn, yet the past follows him. He ends up in the town of Honey Spring, placed under the thumb of a brutal Nomad group. Can he stop the Nomads, help the town... And through it all, find redemption?
