Preview:Rumour has it that at the beginning of the universe there was the first intelligent species, the Precursors. These beings could see in four dimensions, travel at the speed of thought, and were a hundred times bigger than the average human. They arrived in the Milky Way millions of years ago, having spawned many new races in other galaxies with one in each carrying the Mantle of Responsibility, a role that put a race as the caretaker of life in a galaxy. It is unsure if there are Precursors in other galaxies that survive to this day. They created many races in the Milky Way, one of the first being the Forerunners.
