“Mr. Zhongli, what’s with that look? Is the fact I’m a family man so amusing to you?” Childe crossed his arms and asked his friend.
The refined and courteous face responded to him. “It’s simply pleasant to see your happiness, Childe. That is all.”
The amber gaze of pure adoration cast upon him, the perpetrator just a few feet away, sent Childe over the edge. Such sweet words spoken like the truth, without much thought to them. Spinning all those circles about his feelings for archon knows how many hours in his room just to be swayed again by the same old dragon. Why can’t Zhongli say that he loves him? Or perhaps, respond to Childe’s provocations for once. He knew that old dragon felt something for him. He wanted some clear response back from Zhongli however. He wanted to know how the dragon truly felt, about him. Childe had spent his life waiting for a something, and now that it was right in front of him, he needed it.
So he gave out a question to Mr. Zhongli.
“What would you say if I told you I was going back to Snezhnaya?” He abruptly asked.

Rumor has it that Mondstadt's Cavalry Captain is dating a mysterious figure from Snezhnaya. Overwhelmed by the constant questioning from the citizens of Mond, Kaeya accidentally gives his boyfriend a horrible idea.
“I know you were joking, but babe, I don't think it's that bad of an idea!” Ajax argued. He sat up straight and wrapped an arm around the other, pulling him close. He put out his hand as if trying to paint a picture in front of them.
“Okay, just think about it. In my time as a Harbinger, I’ve never been to Mondstadt or met any of your colleagues. They have no idea what I look like, right?”
Kaeya hummed softly, still unsure where Ajax was taking this. “I… suppose… in theory.”
“So, knowing this, they could talk to me whilst being completely clueless about my occupation as a Harbinger! For all they know, they’re just talking to plain old Ajax from Morepesok,” he explained proudly.

Ajax's life was decided for him the day the Legion rode into his village all those years ago. It defined what he would be seen as for the rest of his life and changed who he was as a person. He has trouble letting go sometimes, but he's making a living and keeping a relationship with his family.
Kaeya's life was stolen from him in the night. He had to run from the truth. It's been a lonesome road to reclaiming parts of himself, but he'll soon learn that it doesn't have to be lonely.

Ajax has been a part of the Fatui for over a year now. Thanks to his abundance of passion for combat, he's advanced past his peers at an unforeseen rate. By special order, he is relocated to the capital city of Snezhnaya for an exclusive month-long training program with a famous Inazuman swordswoman. He meets a new recruit by the name of Zhongli, who not only matches Ajax's skill in combat, but also seems to be harboring some type of secret regarding his identity and his intentions in joining the Fatui. The two of them grow closer over the course of their training. As their graduation date grows near, so too does the unraveling of a narrative that reaches far beyond what Ajax ever could have imagined.

After finishing reading 76 chapters, finally, you could rest your mind. This was a long, looong journey, but you’ve read your favorite fanfic of all times and the final was just a masterpiece. You would mourn when you woke up the next day, remembering that there were no more chapters to wait for, no more weekly outbreak and so on. It was sad to a point, but all the good stories need an end, and once again your brain reminded you that this particular fic had the best ending possible.
The thing about fanfics is that they help calm your nerves and take you to an extraordinary place where many things can happen. This one in particular was called ‘1001 Nights until love’ and it was a chilumi fic.
Childe was a Prince and held a giant harem, but he would only collect women for pleasure, not really paying attention to them, only when he found out a street thief called Lumine, his heart would settle and he would bring her to live together. Her life in the beginning was a little hard since the harem was full of rich and powerful princesses, they would torment her to no end until Tartaglia decided to send them all back home and make Lumine his wife.

Summary: Even in a modern setting, Ajax must wrestle with the demands of his employer, the expectations of his family, and the longings of his heart for the one he may never be able to have. But where there is a will, there is a way - and Zhongli's will is enduring and determined, and therefore there is much hope to be found, and mutual pining to be had, and slow burn to be enjoyed.
