Summary

A malicious entity known as an Onryou appears over the city of Enten, and Iruka is accused of being connected to it. In an effort to save himself, Iruka flees the mountain temple that took him in. On route to Enten, he is pulled to investigate the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of the daimyo's son and a larger conspiracy brewing within Enten's nobility. Despite the chaos and their enemies closing in, Iruka and Kakashi find time to fall in love. That precious happiness hangs in the balance alongside the innocent lives within Enten. The secrets of the city run deeper than any can anticipate, and Iruka and Kakashi must weave the truth together before the city falls and a force beyond death descends.
