You felt devoid of joy, any good emotion, actually, any emotion for that matter. You were an empty shell of the person you once were. There was just no point anymore, nothing to live for, no one to live for.
But this changed when you fell into the underground, you decided to turn to murderous desires to help numb the dullness of your regrettable existence.
That was until, you met someone like-minded. Someone you could share these undesirable and sick parts of yourself. You thought you could relate to him, hell, even be his friend.
And you were for a time..
That was until, you realised you weren’t like him at all. That you were nothing like him.
If only you knew that befriending this skeleton would be the end of it all.

Years after monsters were released from Mt. Ebott, another wave of magic hit the world. More monsters were brought from other universes. This, of course, sparked a lot of controversy between humans and monsters.
Eventually, a skeleton monster by the name of Sans stepped forward, admitting that he made a machine. A machine that brought alternate versions of everyone in the world to the prime universe.
He was sentenced to prison.
After a while though, Sans was released and he promised to try and fix the machine he had made. He wanted to send all of the alternate people back to where they belonged.
Unfortunately, he fucked up again, landing all of monsterkind and humanity in a tight spot.
An apocalypse.
