Summary

Stahma startled visibly at the noise, cloth coming back above the water level, whirling around with a large splash to face the human panting with desire, though flushed with embarrassment, in the doorway. "Kenya, I didn't hear you come in. Did you need something?" "I, uh, I had been hoping to join you."

Summary
This is the various conlang dialogue I translated for Syfy's Defiance, an original series that was intended to be the television wing of a two-fisted multimedia franchise, the other being a video game of the same name by Trion Worlds. I created four full languages for the show: Castithan, Irathient, Indojisnen, and Kinuk'aaz (the latter used only in season 3). I also created a sketch for the Liberata called Yanga Kayang, and created a number of slang terms used in English that had their origins in one of the alien languages. Defiance only had three seasons and never realized its full potential, but it remains my proudest work.
