For the sound to rattle deep in her bones, in her lungs, in her head—to bounce off these chrome walls, to shatter the windows. Maybe then, if she screamed loud enough, even So Mi would hear it too. From orbit, their worlds once colliding and now a million miles apart. The way So Mi had planned it, the way it was always supposed to end, even if V hadn't know that.

Maybe it shoulda' been, maybe it was what So Mi deserved after she strung V along like that. Like a pawn on a chess board, to be disposed of when not needed. Except...
V knew, staring at the woman, there wasn't a possibility that would be how this ended.

Summary
Blackwall and Relic have a much greater effect on their owners than one might think.
So Mi, tormented by her past actions, decides to tell almost the whole truth when she first meets V. As a result, events in Dogtown turn out a little differently, but not significantly. Due to a confluence of circumstances in NCX, So Mi can’t withstand the curse of Blackwall and dies in V's arms.
Filled with self-loathing, the dying V storms Arasaka Tower alone with her last strength. Mikoshi was supposed to be her salvation. But it became an agony that will haunt her for six months. The relic has irreversible consequences that she has yet to face in those six months.
Many things happen in those six months, but V dies. She thought she could finally rest, but...
But it's never been that simple with her, right? She finds herself thrown back in time. What will she do with her shattered health and shattered mind? Only she knows. -
