“A-XIN!!” The sound of Mu Qing’s irritation pulled Feng Xin into the present where he was driving Mu Qing's car back home to Xianle from Yong’An the day after Christmas.
“What, baobei?” He quickly glanced at his love sitting in the passenger seat.
“If you’re going to tell the story, tell it right!”
OR: Part two to “Home For The Holiday”. It’s time for the drive back home, but Feng Xin’s struggling with the events from his month long work trip. He asks Mu Qing to distract him with stories of their past, starting with prom, buying Mu Qing’s car and their first apartment that was probably not haunted.

Summary
Mu Qing turns to leave but Feng Xin catches him by the wrist. When Mu Qing turns to wrench his hand away, he trips, stumbling forward, a hand flies to his stomach as if protecting it as he almost falls. He catches himself before he actually falls, however, his robes part slightly to expose a small swell in his stomach. It’s not big by any means but it’s noticeable if you’re looking. It’s definitely not his usual flat, skinny waistline. Feng Xin’s eyes widen. He can barely believe what he’s seeing.
Mu Qing whispers “shit” and tightens his robes to cover the bump. Panicked, he quickly turns and hurries away leaving his vegetables sitting on the stand next to Feng Xin.

After the death of his mother and an intense work load on both Mu Qing and Feng Xin's shoulders, Mu Qing hasn't been feeling like himself. He's been very depressed and overwhelmed with work, yet he refuses to be a burden on anyone and tries to deal with it on his own. Eventually Feng Xin finds out the extent to which Mu Qing has been suffering in silence and is quick to support his boyfriend. While things improve, Feng Xin can still see how sad his boyfriend is, so to help him feel better, he takes Mu Qing to a newly opened cat cafe.

OR: Newly wed Feng Xin is stranded at the Yong'An airport when a blizzard blows through Xianle on Christmas Eve. Mu Qing stubbornly refuses to be apart for their first Christmas as a married couple and makes the two hour drive to his husband. They talk over bluetooth during the long drive, reminiscing about their relationship and past Christmases until they're finally reunited. It's all very cute and fluffy.

"That's obviously because I noticed the cursed shackle on your hand when you struck me down and I wanted you to get the fuck out of Mount Tonglu before the place could start to get messy. I knew it would be too much for you to handle and I was right wasn't I?" He explained so calmly as if he was talking to someone about the weather.
"Well you obviously wanted his highness to kill me didn't you- wait..." Feng Xin's words took some time to register in Mu Qing's brain. "What did you say? Do you think I'm stupid enough to believe your bullshit?"

When he inevitably disappears from Feng Xin’s life, the scent of cherry blossoms would linger on their linen sheets for a while until gradually fading, almost as if Mu Qing was never there in the first place.
Perhaps that’s what Feng Xin deserves. Mu Qing’s the closest thing to an angel that Feng Xin has seen. He’s seen the way Mu Qing cares for his mother, he’s seen the way Mu Qing albeit in his own way cares for him.
Feng Xin on the other hand? He’s just a boy. He can’t even call himself a man anymore.
He doesn’t deserve Mu Qing.
