Chrissy all but danced into Eddie’s apartment. She had the spare key burning a hole in her pocket as soon as she returned to Boston from the Stars on Ice Tour. That had been a very eventful end of tour and she was looking forward to the next time she could get away with Nancy and Robin. Until then, she had her boys at home.
Her boys, she could hear, who were entertaining their friend Tommy. Finally Chrissy was going to meet him–and hopefully get a chance to join in on whatever the boys were doing.
“Honeys, I’m hooooooome!” Chrissy called into the apartment, expecting the boys in the bedroom. Instead they were over in the living room, watching old hockey games. Even on their time off, they were all hockey, all the time. Chrissy rolled her eyes fondly as she leaned against the wall, all three men piled on Eddie’s couch yelling at the screen. It would be an entirely innocent picture if all three men weren’t in varying states of undress and covered in hickeys.

“What’re you gonna do about it, Harrington?” Eddie said, mouth a breath away from Steve’s. Steve’s gaze flicked down to Eddie’s lips for a split second. Chrissy was sure Steve thought no one would notice, but she could see the way both of them were breathing heavily, flushed with irritation and likely something else. She had a thought–it was a gamble but one that would pay off if she was right.
“Boys, boys, boys,” Chrissy skated over, placing her hands on both of their waists, gently pulling them slightly apart. “There’s no need to fight. I can think of a way we can settle this.”
“What, you wanna flip a coin or something?” Steve said, leaning back against the boards. Chrissy noted the way Eddie’s eyes raked over Steve’s body, the same hungry look in them she had seen minutes earlier. Oh yeah, this was going to work.
“Or something,” Chrissy said, raising her eyebrows. “We could play a little game, if you’re up for it.”

He does not hate mimosas and fun, whatever Steve and Robin have to say about it, but he’d rather not have to offer bottomless cocktails to the Sunday after church crowd, which, in Eddie’s experience, consists of possibly the most obnoxious and entitled breed of customer he’s ever encountered. So yeah, 'Missing Shade of Blue Bistro' is closed on Sundays. Which leaves Eddie plenty of time for catching up on paperwork and, much more importantly, spending quality time with his puppy.
