𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗮𝘁. That was his name. And at the same time all the things the Smilling Critter knew about him.
He showed up right...𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁. They all often had the feeling that they were being watched. But now that 𝗵𝗲 is here, it's only gotten worse. They saw him damn rarely, maybe once a month. None of them knew where he lived either. He was a real weirdo.
He never talked. Even when he did show up, which was pretty much never, he only ever spoke with gestures. Even CatNap was more social than this guy.
They didn't know that he was secretly an observer sent by Playtime Co. They knew that this whole “𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱” was a bit strange. But what could they prove?
And what happens when our Rat comes into contact with a critter that is very similar to him? An observer of the most difficult kind. Summary
It turns out that after death there's a bit more that awaits the SmillingCritters, a place they can call home after they were pulled out of Critter Valley long ago to be put into those larger bodies they were surprised to find themselves back to their original homes, original bodies but with the added different that they could no longer die yet they could still feel pain, most of the critters try their best to forget the hell they’ve been through and return to a somewhat normal life, all until the last of the critters arrived at the valley after he had made a certain deal with a deity to offer him a second chance to earn their forgiveness, Will the other critters forgive him for his sins? Or will they make him wish he chose the option of eternal damnation? Only time will tell.

The critters were fascinated by the newest new arrival to the valley. A purple feline hiding more surprises than any of them would have expected.
For DogDay though, it’s clear that something else is buried deep underneath their new friend’s kind caring nature and soothing presence. CatNap was sweet and kind, but also… strange, not exactly in a bad way though. It’s just… Why did he always flinch when someone hugged him? Why did he look so incredulous when someone offered him the smallest gesture of kindness? And most of all… why didn’t he talk…?
The answer to this question, as he would come to learn, was a lot more complicated than he could’ve ever imagined. -

The city of Critter Cape was a vast and sprawling metropolis. Countless critters of all shapes and sizes lived in its hustle and bustle. Few of those critters could ever fathom of leading more than one life, and even fewer knew of what dangers lurked beneath the busy city.
Dogday, however, knows both of these things very well. By day, he's a happy-go-lucky college student. Ready to step into the next page of his life with all his wonderful friends right beside him. By night, however, he's Agent Day. A spy working for a mysterious organization. Using a myriad of cunning, gadgets and his own physical strength, Dogday hopes to improve Critter Cape one mission at a time.
Not all is as it seems in the roaring city, though. For beneath the veil lies even more secrets than Dogday could ever imagine. It isn't until his encounter with a mysterious and enigmatic purple cat does the truth begin to blur. Known as "The Phantom of the Night," the cat sabotages one of his missions and leaves the canine confused, angry and desperate for answers. Despite future prospects, Dogday can't get over his loss at the hands of the dastardly cat.

The Smiling Critters cartoon has long since ended, the Critters growing up not realizing the strangeness of their cartoon world, or why it seems like reality warps to its own whim as their lives go on far past where they were meant to cease in the show.
They all begin to have nightmares of a factory, large, sprawling and bloody, yet these nightmares are fragmented and hard to understand. That is until one fateful month when it all comes to a head.The month that they're all in college, away from the valley, in a city never meant to exist in their world. She heard the thumping of heavy steps descending the stairs and Dogday opened the door. She bristled a little at the sight of him, his eyes were slightly bloodshot, with dark circles surrounding them. His whole face looked a little pale, and his body drooped like a puppet being weakly held by strings. “Hey, Hoppy.” His voice seemed hoarse, and the smile he offered was weak and fake, a far cry from his usual happy grin. Hoppy’s eyebrows furrowed. “Uh, you feeling okay? Not to be rude but you look kinda…terrible.” Dogday cracked a tired chuckle. “Yeah, sorry. I’ve…not been sleeping great lately. I’m fine though.” He swallowed awkwardly then stepped aside to let her into the house. “Come on in.”
