Fuck, it hurts. Black spots start to cloud the edge of his vision as the god-gift spreads its roots through his veins, pushing apart the capillaries, and he can't see it but he's sure his skin is flushing chlorophyll-green. Braelor angles his face away, unable to control his smile as his head hits the damp earth. Dead leaves cling to his hair; the grass seems to stroke his cheeks, at once mocking and comforting. It hurts, worse than any pain he has ever felt, and if he didn't know better – if he didn't know just who it was standing over him ripping through his bloodstream, he would have been sure that he was going to die.

Will he manage to get rid of these obsessive maniacs? Or will he decide to retaliate on behalf of all the people who have been made to suffer? All this while he wants everything to go back to the way it was before.
