Summary
Buer, Archon of Dendro and God of Wisdom, has a problem. Rumors have been spreading that the Republic of the Sages have made a dangerous deal with the mysterious organization known as the Fatui, putting the entirety of Sumeru at risk. With no one to turn to for help, Buer decides to take matters into her own hands for the first time in centuries.
Meanwhile, in The Silent Desert, the young host of Hermanubis, Sethos, is assigned a secret mission by Hermanubis himself: find the missing god. Frustrated by the lack of information given to him, Sethos decides to wander the desert in search of clues. When he crosses paths with a mysterious mercenary investigating the Fatui, he's certain he has found what he's looking for.
Unknown to either of them, their missions are not as simple as initially believed. With every decision made, the future of Sumeru and Teyvat changes, and the truth is slowly uncovered.

School is out and summer is here, Cyno and Sethos are heading to the park to figure out what they’re gonna do this summer when a rusty car comes driving down the road. A man pokes his head out of the window, asking for directions.
Like the chatty kid he is, Sethos asks why they’ve come to Aaru, and the man tells him that they’re here for summer vacation with their two kids: Tighnari and Collei.

“Is that so? Then I guess I’d better finish this up quickly. I missed it the last time you two played.” He picks up the crate again, letting out a small grunt of effort, and the sound makes Scara want to ball his fists for some reason, but he restrains himself. Then Sethos leans toward him, very narrowly avoiding the space Scara considered personal. “I’ll be rooting for you when I get back, Hat Guy.” He says it jokingly, but his voice drops lower as he nears him, almost lost to the chatter of the cafe, though Scara’s ears catch it easily and he pulls the brim of his hat down to try and escape showing the way it buzzes around in his mind pleasantly.
“Whatever.” He mutters lamely.

In which Scaramouche finds Sethos immensely attractive and he doesn't know what to do with himself, so he resorts to an unfailing(?) tactic: denial.
