Aeron draws his arm back like an arrow and fires it into Jaryn’s nose with a wet, crackling crunch, knocking him to the floor in a limp heap. Jaryn makes a wheezing, sputtering sound as he lands hard on his side, writhing on the grass.
“Beg pardon, Jaryn?” He seethes – his voice still holds that familiar waver, that tremor of a rope about to snap, but there’s a barbed edge to it that sets Davos’ skin on edge. “The prissy little fag didn’t hear you.”
“Fucking hells,” Davos breathes.

Bueno, Aeron ha sido el único miembro de la casa Bracken en no poder trasmutar y eso... era un problema para su tio Amos.

Every sound had him looking up expecting to see Aeron walk through that door, his fair face lighting up as he caught sight of Davos. And Davos would go to him, gather him into his arms and kiss him. Aeron would hold him just as tightly and then Davos would lay him down in the hay, stroke his hair and show him how a Blackwood made love.

It was not forced, and not offensive. Davos can be a terror, his hand choking any opponent in a spar; he’s not beyond such tactics at all, but then he held his nape, and dug his fingers onto his brown hair. They were mere seconds from a tussle over a misunderstanding, but their gazes met midway, green eyes to black ones and that had been the first time he felt understood.
And it was robbed of him, cruelly so, when Davos ran away the moment Aeron tried to reciprocate. He should’ve slapped himself, for being such a fool, and he should’ve killed Davos, for making him act like one.
Aeron finds himself with Davos once more after their first kiss cemented the distance between them. Blackwood and Bracken, push and pull — that distance never lasts long, and they wouldn't have it differently.
