Starved, battered, broken, and beaten within an inch of his life again and again. Hanta had seen his fair share of horrors, but this one stood out to him. He arrived at his destination to find a malnourished man covered head to toe in cuts, scrapes, bruises, and blood. As empty blue and gray eyes look up at him, Hanta realized there was no way he could allow this man to pass without knowing what it felt to be cared for.

Eijirou’s breath catches in his throat, his thoughts stuttering to a halt. The only thing his mind can seem to process is how the sun’s rays make Todoroki's hair look like it's glowing, like some sort of angel.

Touya tries fighting back, at first. He’s *so angry*, all the time, and it *hurts*, oh, god, it hurts. But then, something changes. His head starts getting cloudy, and he sleeps a lot. The worst part is that he can’t even feel his Quirk.
Well, he can, sort of. But he can’t use it anymore. He barely gets a flicker, but he’s *so, so tired,* far too tired and cloudy and scared to think anything of it, at least at first. *It’s the cold, it must be. It’s so cold down here..* He rationalizes. *Dad wouldn’t do anything to his quirk… would he..?*
Touya isn’t sure what Enji *wouldn’t* do at this point.
He pulls the blanket, the one Mom made him, (and that pulls whines and tears from his chest. He quickly swallows them down), tighter around him and falls into a fitful slumber.

The news had broken two months ago, one month before the start of the new semester. Number two hero Endeavour had been found dead, killed in his own home. His son had quickly been determined the number one suspect, and within a matter of hours the boy had been branded a villain.
Aizawa knows all of this, had seen the body of the former hero himself and the gruesome death that had befallen him. But he had also seen blood that wasn't Endeavour's staining the bed sheets, and heard of the isolation, training and dicipline the child had gone through from his sibblings.
And now, two months later, with All might standing outside his door with the new Todoroki villain in tow, Aizawa can't make himself think of the boy as anything other than a victim.
