Summary
The first thing Kuni noticed was the chill of the night air and the feeling of being cocooned in a blanket that smelled faintly of old flowers and something… off. His second thought, as his eyes fluttered open to the dark sky above, was: ‘Why am I outside?’
Before he could make sense of it, the sharp, piercing sound of a woman’s scream rattled his already frazzled senses.
“VERNON!” the voice shrieked. “VERNON, GET OUT HERE! NOW!”
Kuni flinched instinctively. He was suddenly very aware of two things: (1) he was much smaller than usual, and (2) there was no way this was going to end well.

In which, a sharp-tongued ex-puppet turned toddler wakes up as the Boy Who Lived, quickly realizes this world runs on an entirely different kind of magic, and proceeds to terrify everyone around him with his alarming vocabulary, strategic chaos, and refusal to accept the absurdity of his situation.

“Peaceful.” Kunikuzushi quirked an eyebrow. “That’s a way to put it. I’d call it boring, personally.”
“Maybe.” Small motes of dust danced through a stale breeze scented of wood polish and old vents, golden sunlight seeped in through the front windows, and for a brief moment Kunikuzushi thought Kazuha had never looked more beautiful.
The man tilted his head back, sighing. “Life is so hectic. It’s wonderful, and I love it, but it would be nice to just… breathe once in a while.”
Kunikuzushi wasn’t exactly sure what to say to that, not being very well-versed in the department of casual social interaction. He didn’t have to figure it out, in the end. Kazuha’s voice, almost soft enough to be carried away with dust particles and oxygen molecules, spoke, “You’re the closest I can get to peace.”
Kunikuzushi decided he should get around to telling his mother to replace the missing “6” key on the cash register.

or: Kunikuzushi has a running theory that the customer who frequently visits his parents' music shop is also his favorite idol. He shouldn't be entertaining such a stupid theory as much as he does.

You only knew Scaramouche as an online friend through your guild in the MMORPG you played. Despite that, you found yourself enamoured yet relentlessly tormented by his voice in ways you shouldn't be feeling towards a friend.
During one particularly pent up night, you stumbled upon a camboy that sounded exactly like your online friend. And it was all downhill for you since then, as you indulged in the likeness to your friends voice spilling from the camboy's mouth in candied cries.
When Scaramouche offers to finally meet up in person, you hoped this event would finally allow you to be able to draw a clear line between the camboy and Scaramouche, only to find out you were so, so terribly wrong.

The shuffling upon the platform died down before La Signora reached into the other glass ball, her glamorized nails digging into the hundreds pieces of paper. Moments after, the same voice booms.
“Raiden Kunikuzushi!”
Kamui hated how a soft gasp slipped from his hoarse throat. Despite being surrounded by war while he grew, he didn’t want to kill anyone.

Xiao is a photographer visiting a rural part of Japan to photograph snow fairies, a rare bird. Once there, he encounters a local named Kuni who, after learning of his situation, offers for Xiao to stay at his place. Over the course of Xiao staying there, he comes to learn more of Kuni's past and how, exactly, he became the prickly yet lovable person who offered his home to Xiao.

OR; in order to repair the family reputation, Ei and Shogun pull some strings to put Kuni in UA to show the public how much he has recovered. Kuni is NOT happy about this.

During his travels Scaramouche accidentally comes across Kazuha who had fallen ill and unconscious against a tree. The harbinger felt a small amount of pity and decided to help the other but for a small price of course. He attempts to strike a deal with Kazuha but the poet refused, after meeting again Scaramouche reoffers the deal and still the poet is determined to say No. One final time Scaramouche offers him the deal after saving his life the third time and Kazuha actually considers it without thinking of consequence.
