Following the trail of an urgent but very vague message from her friend Hannah Frey, sent days before Alterra reported the woman's death as a "tragic but classified" accident, Root finds herself submerged into the mysteries of just what Alterra was getting up to on the mostly-ocean planet of 4546B. Will she be able to discover Alterra's dark secrets in time?
This was partially inspired by the fic by "andthatisterrible" which puts Sh/oot into the original Subnautica game, but I will not be borrowing any part of their work. If you haven't read that fic yet, you should. It's awesome.

But that's not where her story ends, she dies and wakes up in a familiar subway station, alone but for an ancient individual waiting for the train to his next life.
Her journey into a much larger multiverse of possibilities begins with teaching a man the same lessons that the Machine taught her years before.(I suggest reading before this A Cosmere Interloper which is the first three parts in this series as it would contextualise the characters better though it isn't necessary reading as most of the important stuff will be explained if I think it's important)

Post Parabellum and Samaritan coming online in Person of Interest. Spoilers for all three movies and POI.
Now that Samaritan has struck down the High Table, and co-opted the remaining agents of it, John Wick is out luck and options, so he tracks down Harold Finch, who through the Machine, gives him a new identity and a new job. He did not expect that that job would entail him working as a receptionist at the NYPD crime lab.
Nor did he expect that Samaritan would eventually assault the lab.
