War is in full swing between the gods of Nibelheim...or what's left of it anyway. It's been...so so long since it started that Ventus thinks that by the end of it, it might not be worth seeing what will rise from the ashes - that is if Nibelheim even stays in one piece and not blown into space dust.
At this rate, Ventus might prefer that - the pain of seeing Alatus and his dear twin sister Ying losing themselves to this war...to this damned war over NOTHING made him so, so angry.
But he will fight; for his friends, for his creator. Just to see a smile again on his creators' face...
Hopefully he will survive long enough - just long enough to see that smile again...

Summary
When the Tsaritsa gets another empty report from La Signora about the Electro Archon refusing to cooperate, she also hears about how her precious eleventh, the youngest of her Harbingers, is apparently being taken advantage of by the former Geo Archon. Whether it's revenge for the Osial incident or something else altogether, she will not let her youngest be hurt or used by another god, especially one as old as Morax. But when she gets there... Well, as the God of Love, she isn't sure if she should be happy or not with what she finds out.
La Signora just wanted to insult her fellow Harbinger for his disgusting crush on the Geo Archon, instead she unknowingly sent a very protective Archon after another god, who happens to also be a dragon. All this over a very oblivious Childe, who is still wondering what exactly prompted his god to take a vacation to Liyue to see him.

He doesn’t let himself dwell on it for too long though, after all, they weren’t really family… and there’s no way to get them back…

Childe, sent in Liyue to take the gnosis from Morax, fell in love with the beautiful consultant from the Funeral Parlor. But his love for him made glaze lilies grow in his lung, and his love is slowly killing me. -

Summary
Zhongli puts on his shoes with some mental resistance. The moment he places his now covered foot on the ground, it’s like the world goes numb and hazy around him. It’s a little easier once he’s outside the building and he begins to walk on the stone carved path. On the other hand however, it does become more difficult to listen to the tremors and vibrations of the ground and walls. Liyue Harbour is a loud, lively, busy, eccentric city. The movement of people walking around, their conversations and the constant jingle of Mora being exchanged sounds like a hive full of swarming bees to Zhongli.
It’s a beautiful, cacophonous and vibrant harmony. But it too puts strain on the mind of a man just trying to find his way to work.

My submission for Genshintober 2023 Day 6 Prompt 'My Guardian, My Warrior'.
The first half 'My Guardian' goes inside Xiao's mind during the cutscene in the Chasm quest, just as he falls down into the dark.
The second half 'My Warrior' follows Zhongli as he walks around a non-specific Moonchase Festival and think perhaps a bit too much about his life decisions.
