Hugo; The trusted Equerry of the Prince, best friend of the Prince, son of Captain Donella of the royal guard, and he has a few problems too. Something he had wanted since he was young isn’t super appealing anymore. Now all he wants is a life of adventure, and of Varian.
Eugene; Please for the love of the sun SOMEONE EXPLAIN WHAT IS HAPPENING (for the majority of the plot) I DIDN’T SIGN UP FOR THIS CRAP

Summary
During the events of part 2 of Rapunzel's return when Varian goes to hug his dad after Rapunzel releases him from the amber mess, Varian created. The guards grabbed him by the shoulders and dragged him away from his dad's grasp, knowing that fate was concealed in his very eyes.
Now that Varian was forced to be in chains after all of this.
Unable to see his dad and his friends, almost like the guards won't like him having at least a joy of his life. And instead put him in a horrible state in mind!
