They show her an entirely new world, one that is not covered in filth and grime and misery. But, when that troubled past comes to weave itself with her new life, will the bonds of their unconventional family continue to level up, or will it ultimately succumb to a brutal fatality?

Through a glimpse into another universe, Dan sees just how much they could be, and comes to terms with some feelings he's had for... A while.
(Basically, I re-wrote the fic, top to bottom, but from Dan's perspective.)
