Summary
“Where is he?” The General asked, and Steve almost laughed in his face again.
“Ohhhh he’s long gone, you big asshole!” He smiled, and he could tell that the General didn’t like that. Good. “He’s probably calling Hopper and Hopper is calling the U.S. Cavalry, they’re going to come in here commando style, guns a-blazing and kick your sorry asses back to Russia, and you’re gonna be two pieces of toast.”
They laughed, because they knew it. Because there was no other possible future where the Russians won. He imagined the General, blood pooling around his body. Dead. The General would die, and Steve took comfort in that.
The General nodded at Steve, a smug smile spreading on his face, then turned to the Doctor and spoke some Russian. They talked there for a moment, then they both walked out without another word.
“That’s bad right?” Steve asked once they were alone again.
“Uh, yeah. Yeah, that’s pretty bad.”
They leaned their heads on each others’ shoulders, and they stayed silent for a very long time. He focused on nothing but the connection, and hoped everything would sort itself out. He hoped Henderson was on his way.

Summary
Robin Buckley was fifteen and half years old. She had dreams of getting out of this town, Operation Croissant. She had friends she loved and cared about. She had her whole life ahead of her. She never expected everything could go wrong in one night. She never expected to stumble upon a conspiracy. And she certainly never expected to become a traitor against her own country. And yet...here she was.

Summary
Robin had always been a runner. Running from expectations, from people, from herself. Running felt safer than staying still, safer than facing whatever mess was waiting for her when she stopped. But the thing is, no matter how fast you run, life always catches up with you. And when it does? There's nowhere left to go.

Summary
During a conversation with Vickie, Robin decides to start using Steve as her beard and sure, lying to her parents is great, and she doesn't mind Hawkins thinking she's getting it on with Steve Harrington, but then lovable, idiotic Steve decides it's a great idea to carry on the lie to Eddie to make him jealous. Robin has had enough of her platonic soulmate being this fucking stupid, but sure, whatever, it'll work out in the end, it always does with Steve.
“Should I — like, go?” Eddie stares at them, still lifting up the duvet so cold air is getting on Robin’s thighs, she curls her toes under the shins of the massive fucking idiot next to her. “If you guys wanna —?”
Eddie, Robin thinks, is probably the only person they should tell about the whole fake part of their relationship. Eddie, Robin thinks, is probably the only other person in the world who would’ve even volunteered to be her beard. Eddie, who they share a bed with when they’re drunk like this, is the last person they need to start lying to but for some reason Steve has decided they need to defend themselves against Eddie and Robin can only stare at Steve and think "why him, why is he your soulmate?"

Summary
Like most July days in Indiana, the day of Steve Harrington's funeral dawned hot and muggy. His parents had flown home to organize the ceremony, and they stood outside the church to receive condolences from funeral attendees, dabbing at their tears with designer handkerchiefs. Steve hadn't attended this church for anything except the Christmas services his parents dragged him to since he got his first hangover. “He had so much potential,” Mr. Harrington said, over and over again, and the line of mourners murmured, “We'll all miss him,” “So sorry for your loss,” “He was such a close friend, can't imagine life without him.” The grass was a healthy green, the sky a bright blue, the cicadas chirped happily, and the coffin was empty.
From the trees along the edge of the cemetery, Steve and Robin watched with a beat-up pair of binoculars they had stolen from Dustin.

Summary
“Secrets have a cost,” her aunt Joyce had said to her one night when she came home all beaten up and battered a few days after she originally got bitten by that damn radioactive spider.
“They’re not for free.” Was also something she said, and Robin was really starting to understand it now.

Summary
Robin never thought that the next eventful occurrence in her life after tossing Molotov cocktails at a telekinetic demon from another plane would be coaching a gay kid with a bowl cut on how to make moves on an emo dork with a girlfriend alongside Hawkins' main weed dealer, but she wasn't complaining much. Focused on recovering from all the Upside-Down shit, she gets closer to the others involved as they all pick up the pieces left behind. Because of this, she ends up going to Hellfire for a deal she had with Eddie, hoping to supply Will some "comfort" in the unknown territory. She says it's ridiculous at first but quickly reconsiders after it's revealed that the three highschoolers all know each other's secret.
So focused on mentoring Byers, she forgets to apply her advice to his crush's sister.

Summary
Robin jammed a claw into the hard ground and found that it was made of flesh.
She yanked and tore open a gaping wound in the earth. Ash swirled up. The gash pulsed sluggishly.
She jammed her claw deeper in, gagging at the squelch and the smell of iron. She tore again, deeper, and the earth peeled open around the new scales covering her hand.

Summary
Robin was more terrified than she had ever been in her entire life, Russian torture withstanding. She scrambled to find the words, trying and failing at first to say anything. All she could muster was a poor joke.
"Steve... did you OD over there?" Robin echoed his words for some semblance of comfort before the inevitable.
"No, I just, uh... just thinking."

Summary
It was a combination of mixtapes with either El or Max’s handwriting scrawled on them. One, worryingly, just said Eddie vs. Jonathan. She chose the one with a little doodle of two wolves on the case that read exit signs in Max’s big block letters.
Max wasn’t paying her any attention, fingers tapping the wheel like music was already playing. Robin wondered if she still felt a sort of reliance on it after Henry, if maybe silence scared her as much as it did Robin. She hadn’t aged a lot since then, still looked so much like the same fourteen year old girl who needed Kate Bush to survive. Except five years had passed; Max was a high school graduate with a job and a girlfriend and a plan for the future. Maybe Robin really was the only one still stuck in the past.
She pushed the tape in just as the light turned green. Tracy Chapman absorbed all the air around them with her first words.
