"Marry me," said Adelaide Morrisey just before the door to Robin's office slammed painfully loud against the wall from the force with which she had flung it open.
"W-what?" Robin and Edwin asked, their voices matching both in timing and intonation.
Adelaide pretended not to notice the wrinkled nature of Robin's collar or the redness of Edwin's lips as she said, once more, almost annoyed to be repeating it. “Will you marry me?”
"You're asking me that now?!" Robin sounded incredulous "you didn't want to, I don't know, take me out to dinner first? Ply me with wine? Take advantage of my drunkness to trap me in a marriage forever?"
