Wei Wuxian’s fingers tightened almost painfully around Lan Wangji’s sleeve, a gentle smile spreading across his lips as his husband showered him in kisses; his lips dragging down from his forehead and mapping a blazing path across the swell of his cheeks, along the bridge of his nose, the skin above his top lip.
There may have been doubt in Wei Wuxian’s mind that he was worthy of the love Lan Wangji felt for him, but, there was never any doubt that Lan Wangji did indeed love him. And, love him fiercely.
A soft, broken sound pushed through his lips, parting them without permission and giving voice to heartache that he felt even against his own deep wishes that for once he could just… deal with it.

"Don't talk about Sizhui like that," Jin Ling roared, reaching back with the hand holding Zidian, aiming it at all three of them. Everything happened so quickly that Jingyi acted without thinking. He took quick, long steps into Zidian's path, reaching up with his dominant (left) hand and caught Zidian before it could reach the individuals behind him, who were finally showing some sense, taking several steps back. He tightened his grip and yanked Zidian out of Jin Ling’s grasp, leaving him looking stunned. Zidian immediately recoiled into a ring on Jingyi’s left ring finger, which he always left free for that purpose. He looked up at Jin Ling and Sizhui, both of whom appeared surprised. Jingyi didn’t care anymore; he was getting angry now.
He turned around and almost growled “Leave before I change my mind and whip you myself.” Before he turned his back on the already retreating men.----------
A drunk Jin Ling tries to defend his crush (Lan SIzhui) in the worst was so Jingyi has to step in to prevent him from causing a scandal. He might have accidentally revealed his relationship by doing so. -

The topic that day was supposed to be about the feared Yiling Patriarch, but their laoshi had merely shrugged it off with disgust when it was brought up. With Jin Ling wanting to know more about the man who killed his parents, Lan Jingyi comes up with the idea to ask Hanguang-Jun, because they were apparently mortal enemies, and what better way to approach the cold jade than ask the one disciple who he was close to, who was also coincidentally his best friend! What they didn’t expect was to be introduced to a whole story through paintings and small notes, as well as exposed to the many truths they didn’t know before.
