Lu Guang side steps Cheng Xiaoshi’s outstretched hand with ease and angles his head upward when another gust of wind rushes past them, squinting into the sky with a slight frown. There’s a dim wash of sunlight dancing over his face, though it rapidly fades away moments later. Weird. Has the sun always faded away so fast? “It’s getting dark.”
It’s then that Cheng Xiaoshi casts his gaze upward, taking in the singular tuft of gray clouds above them. “Shit.”
Cheng Xiaoshi finds new meaning in the rain.
