Marc-Andre Fleury suggested drafting a new starter rookie goalie so he can get a break and lucky for the Pens the first draft pick for the 2015 draft is a young Finnish goalie. Flower offers to give follow up lessons to the kid and the team has to learn how to get around the rookies crippling anxiety from past teams. It's a roller coaster getting to know the kid but he seems to be growing on them.

“Are we actually doing this?” Fleury asks eagerly, shit-eating grin on his face. He watches as Sid posts a copy of the roster to a board inside the locker room.
Sid sighs. “Dumo and Rusty convinced me we have to,” he says. “For, like, charity. Or something.”
Tanger raises an eyebrow. “How does not… you know. How does that help charity?”
Dumo steps in quickly. “It raises awareness! Prostate cancer kills!”
“Ok, but we’re not telling anyone about this,” Sid rushes to say. “Like, this absolutely has to stay in the locker room, you get that, right?”
Bryan rolls his eyes. “Obviously, Croz.”
“So how does this… whatever. You all want to do this, be my guest,” Sid says.
“No, no, captain must participate too,” Geno pipes in. “How else will team bond?”
“Fine,” Sid says unhappily. “I’ll do it too.”

His bad stress mechanism causes Flower to loose weight as well as energy which effects his goal tending. When it's got to much, he couldn't handle the pain.

Summery: this is my entry in @wyattjohnston summer fanfic exchange 2023! I'm so excited you put these on and give us the chance to meet and write for new and amazing people. This time I got picked to write for @starshine-hockey-girl ! Babe I wrote this story about Sidney Crosby and my OC Hunter Queen that you so kindly let me use. This was supposed to be fic where Sid messed up on their first meeting and they grew alongside each other and fell in love slowly but my hands decided a fast paced enemies to lovers story was the way to go so here we are! So enjoy Sid and Hunter hating that they are falling for each other and all the drama that come with it. Also a huge shootout to @cellythefloshie who has heard me talk nonstop about this story for weeks and letting me bounce ideas off of them to make my mind stay focused. 💙
