Noé had been given the task to unravel the secrets of the lost grimoire known as “The Book of Vanitas”. That is how he’s found himself on an airship heading for Paris: the last known sighting of said grimoire. To Noé’s surprise, he crosses paths with a bewildering man who turns out to be a vampire doctor. He keeps Noé curious, as well as in possession of a growing migraine with each and every passing word that flows between them. Yet, what is found to be the most startling revelation for Noé, this man goes by the name *Vanitas*. The present vampire of the Blue Moon turns out to be a human. Further more, the man’s blood just had to have the most intoxicating scent Noé has ever come to smell. Things could only go right from here.

“Finally you're up” said an annoyed voice Noé couldn’t decipher at the moment.
Clutching his head with a hand Noé began to look at his surroundings with bleary eyes.
‘What’s going on? wasn’t I just drinking blood from…’ looking up Noé finally caught a pair of irritated blue eyes in his wake.
“Vanitas?”

Her head snapped around in disbelief. Mouth opening and closing like she can’t believe what she just heard. Vanitas had half a mind to just get up and leave.
Noe continues before she can make up her mind. “It’s just surprising, really.” She says. Her tone sounds like when she reads her notes out loud. “You’re so pretty.”

Noé fears that he has become a curse-bearer. But this curse is strange, as it seems to be a curse that he has not recognized from all the other curses he and Vanitas have seen in their travels. No, this is different.
A curse of feelings, feelings Noé is unable to understand, feelings he cannot discern. He can only compare them to what he may have felt towards Louis all those years ago, but this is stronger, more persistent. Something he has to find an outlet for to quell it.
He turns to drastic measures to feel nothing at all.

Which led to Noé sitting at a local cafe, collecting his thoughts as he sipped his tea and stabbed his fork into his tarte tatin and took a big bite out of it. Delectable! The delicious savory taste of the pastry was almost enough to make Noé forget about his issue. He only just remembered because of something creeping up his nose.
