Summary
Floyd Pepper and Animal have been almost inseparable since he found him on his doorstep all those years ago, touring the world with The Mayhem and The Muppets, living the weirdest and the wildest of all of their dreams. However, things weren't always light for Floyd and when a disastrous hotel gig leads to his arrest and Animal being taken away from him, shadows of his dark past begin to haunt him once more. With Animal in danger and time running short, Floyd, with the help of his band and his friends, must learn to overcome his demons, past and present, and save his little buddy before its too late.

It was a sunny March morning in Beverly Hills. The dew on the grass was slowly evaporating as the morning cold dissipated. Birds were singing and the sky was the same luscious blue as it had always been, but something wasn’t right. At the Muppets production studio things were oddly quiet. There weren’t any underpaid interns rushing around with people’s coffees, nor were there any directors yelling out cues and telling actors to do their jobs right. Maybe, just maybe though, the murder of a certain iconic pig that happened on the property had something to do with the studio’s silence.

Interns working in Hollywood shouldn't be subjected to finding a dead body in the studio, nor should they be in charge of the investigation that figures out who's the murderer behind said corpse. Alas, life doesn't go much as planned does it?

Rizzo and Pepe dated a grand total of one time, and it went so horribly that neither of them want to talk about it and choose to spend the rest of their lives avoiding each other, confusing and frustrating everyone else in the process.
A post-breakup fic interspersed with flashbacks to how Pepe and Rizzo got together, and how it all fell apart.
Takes cues from The Muppets (2015), but I haven't seen much of that yet, so the canon may not be completely correct. But hey, the only true Muppet cannon is the one Gonzo shoots himself out of.
