Chapters are set both before and after the games - some of it is based off the game, some I've taken creative liberties with.
This book will follow the love story of Peter and MJ (From Insominac's Spider-Man) -follow along to read about their ups and downs. How they fell in love, why they broke up, and how their dynamic is after they got back together.
(Update: Since the 2nd game is out, they'll come some new chapters. Watch out for them.)

Mary Jane decides to call Harry and check on him after Peter rescues her from the warehouse. She was afraid that Dr. Octavius might have hurt him to get the tritium for the reactor. She wasn't expecting for him to come over to her little apartment only to shatter under the weight of Peter's and his father's secrets.
But however painful it may be, the truth must be faced sooner or later, and maybe now that the secrets are out, there's hope for the friendship between the three of them.

In Amazing Spider-Man 21 by Zeb Wells and John Romita Jr., Mary Jane Watson and Peter Parker are about to move in together when the murderous villain The Emissary breaks out of prison and targets both of them, planning to sacrifice them to a [culturally appropriated] Mayan god so he can gain the god's power. Since the timing isn't right for the sacrifice, he marks them with Mayan glyphs and sends them to a dead dystopian alternate universe where monsters try to murder them, which you would think would ruin the plan to sacrifice them later but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Peter and MJ run into a mysterious man who defeats the monsters and takes them to his bunker. The god shows up and decides he doesn't need a sacrifice first after all, he'll just kill Spider-Man. As coincidence would have it, the mysterious man has an interdimensional transporter that is good for only one trip. MJ sends Peter home to their world. And that's where we open.
This is a fix-it fic, a personal challenge to see if I can make the egregiously awful Dead Language and the subsequent indiginities heaped on the characters into something palatable. WIP, I may fail because *gestures at original material*, we'll see.

But then, Josie was born.
And from the moment she held her for the first time, she swore that she would do whatever she could to keep her safe.
For the first seven years of Josie's life, Mary Jane has been able to protect her sister from the worst of their father's abuse and pick up their mother's slack, with assistance from the Parkers next door. Josie especially seems to take to Mr. and Mrs. Parker's nephew, Peter, who has been hopelessly pining for Mary Jane ever since they were six.
And now, she's finally fulfilling the promise that she made to herself to get Josie out of that goddamn house.
If only it could be as easy as that.

For only a moment she stared at the ground. It made her dizzy. She directed her eyes toward the blue sky, slowly growing dim as the sun began to set in the west. And then she looked up at his face just above hers, obscured by the red fabric of the expressionless mask. It no longer seemed so blank to her, though, for in the last few months she had learned to read his every movement until she knew exactly what he was thinking. Strange how the hero of mystery had vanished… becoming so dear, so familiar as his form merged in her mind with that of the man she loved.
