He finds out from his mother that there was a television show based on the book, and tries desperately to find a copy. When he finally does, Pete is magically transported into Porsche's world to take his place, trying to not mess up the plot. Hopefully, if he follows the storyline, he can find his way home. However, Pete has always had a soft spot for Vegas. Will he try to change the plot in order to save him? -

Pete felt tears in his eyes and he wasn’t even sure why. Of course Vegas likes Porsche so he should not be surprised by that. He knew that Porsche is not to blame here but he still did not want to be around him right now so he just turned around and headed towards the closest restroom, really needing to be as alone as the school will allow him to be. He could vaguely hear Porsche calling something after him but he did not care, he was just focused on not letting his tears flow down his face, not yet.
