Before she could respond, Gem suddenly leapt down from the cobblestone base, heading straight towards them. As she drew closer, Pearl noticed the energy in Gem’s stride, a spark that felt out of place amidst the grimness of the death game.
“Well, you know,” Gem looked up at Pearl with a glint in her eye, “You could always team here, with me and Joel.”

Summary
In a world full of deadly, man-eating sea monsters, teams of hunters find and kill the beasts for the safety of all humankind. The Canaries are a notorious group of hunters, one of the many crews commissioned by the king himself to kill monsters in exchange for gold and other benefits. When they are given the task to hunt down and capture a mythical sea prince, their world changes as they discover secrets they may regret finding out.
The Canaries and TIES are welcomed back into the kingdom isles to rest and recover from their adventures. The two groups temporarily call their bets off to relay their information and shared interest in the Watchers, who seem keen on tracking their progress as much as the king does.
…Well, at least Martyn can spend more time with Scott, right?

As soon as he sees her, Scar wheels over and tries to pull Grian into a kiss again. He allows it, kissing him back, but pulls away before long, laughing at the exaggerated pout Scar gives him.
“We have cookies to make,” she says, starting on the snickerdoodles.
“But you said we could pick back up later,” Scar whines, though he, too, gets back to work making the cookies.
“I said later tonight,” Grian reminds his husband. “When we don't have a cookie business to run.”
Scar perks back up — though his devastation was clearly very over exaggerated — and keeps rolling the dough into balls to place on the cookie sheet with as much joy as he always does.

Or: Grian and Scar are villains and very much in love. The only issue here is that the heroes have new technologies and abilities and less morals than they should.

Scythe tries his best to juggle his three different lives; Hero, Villain, and Student. During the rare times he's not being recruiting by the hero agency, or causing chaos as a villain, he trying to get his college work done. Time management should be his top priority, but unfortunately for him it is not. Friends on all sides help where they can, but can he manage these lives despite their differences?
This is a story that I decided to make centered around my own original character, Scythe Cristaal. It is inspired by a few other Hero/Villain/Vilgilante AUs, and links to those can be found below! Enjoy this silly little hyper fixation of mine! Please note that although i do have MCYTs that are from DSMP, I did not add the DSMP fandom tag because I did not include everyone from that server, only those who I enjoy the most.

Pearl stood over her body for a second, staring down coldly at the blood dripping from the wound, before grabbing the handle of the knife and dragging it across Cleo’s neck.
More blood spurted out, dripping like a dying waterfall out and onto the floor as Cleo struggled to breathe. The red was everywhere, and Pearl could see the exposed, clean-cut edges of Cleo’s windpipe. Their lungs expanded and contracted, expanded and contracted, over and over again; until finally…
Until finally, Cleo was unmoving and still. Their eyes stared up at nothing, the gash in their neck deep and visceral. This had been a brutal killing. Pearl was satisfied. She retrieved her pocket knife, folded it back into itself, and left the house without a second thought.
That should have been the end of it.
With every other murder, that had been the end of it.

When the Canaries are challenged by their rival group of naval commanders, TIES, they strike out to find the beast with no clues or a full set of ideas. Meeting an unlikely group of allies out on the wild seas, they end up on an island supposedly cursed by the Scarlet Witch, who may potentially lead them to discover the secrets of the sea princes.
