“Velvet,” she whispered, feeling a bit under pressure from the romantic atmosphere. She looked around bashfully, “What is all of this?”
She could partially see the man smile in front of her, white of his teeth a dark muddy gray through the filtering of the shadows. “An alter,” he answered, “made by me.”
Red Velvet clearly must have never seen a real alter before because the room had looked like anything but. Everything was a scattered mess, not organized enough to even be considered a place of worship or divination.
But what mattered most to Pastry was why he had even attempted to construct one in the first place.
“You made an Alter,” she noted in astonishment. “Why?”
The grip around each of her hands tightened as one was pulled closer to his frame.
“All your life you have spent mostly on your knees serving other gods,” was his response, pressing the back of her palm to his lips. “For today and today alone, just this once, please allow me to be the one that worships you.”

The tears are uncontrollable, the only warning being how your eyes will start to hurt and you'll suddenly have a hard time breathing. The longer you hold your feelings without confessing, the more painful and uncontrollable it will be. Until at one point, you'll cry endlessly as your strawberry jam turns to sugar underneath and your dough transforms to sugar along with it, becoming a sugary statue, unmoving as your jam-turned sugary tears continue to flow from your eyes until they run out.
What kind of deception is this? Pastry cookie thought as she held a book on her hands. Shaking her head, she sighed as she placed it on the table. "Cookies these days really need to find something better to do than to make something like this up." She mumbled to herself before standing up and grabbing the book once more and proceeding to place it back where she had gotten it and leaving.
PS: I don't even know if I'm actually gonna end up finishing this lmao. I'm a lazy ass most of the time and this one was a spur of the moment thing. Just a heads up ig. Also, RV might appear a bit later.
