He'd climbed through the veil with his bare hands and had reformed his body, built from ectoplasm, blood, tears, and determination.
Gasping in oxygen, something he didn't need anymore, but instinctively searched for, he'd gone stumbling through Gotham.
He'd been angry, hateful, angry with Bruce, Angry at the Joker, Angry at the world, but with his resurrection from the pits, he had an aura, a Connection to death, and it attracted attention.
It attracted the League of Assassins, it had gotten Ras Al Ghul interested in him.
