Summary
Once upon a rainy night, Snow Whitlock, a 27-year-old Christian singer, left the stage during a concert, and was supposed to return to give an encore for her adoring fans. Instead, she bolted backstage, and fled out the nearest exit as a bid to escape the controlling, fundamentalist cult she belonged to. Being in Italy, she knew the nearest place that might give her refuge is the Satanic Ministry. She is lead to the office of Sister Imperator, where she pleads for Sanctuary and through circumstance, ends up becoming a "Companion" to the kind hearted Cardinal.
However, she finds herself in the middle of many a mystery. Cardinal Copia is not what he seems. There is a Ministry Ghost who is causing havoc on the grounds, tearing apart offices and terrifying the Siblings of Sin. A mysterious masked man, named Nox, offers her singing lessons as a way to help her find agency with her voice, but won't tell her his true identity. All the while, the Ministry is still reeling from the disappearance of their beloved Papa Emeritus the III, after he was kidnapped off stage. And Snow, while caught up in all this, is struggling with reconciling her feelings for both Nox and Copia-

As it is written in official and inofficial ministry rules, her smalltown life in Christianity was flipped right on its head.
From then on, it was bound to be chaos, but Fate really had it out for her.
It was a beautiful summer day on which she went to show Sister Imperator just what amazing words she had learnt earlier - a few fun Italian words Secondo probably should never have taught her in the first place - when Sister had waved her off; scanning a list of names with an increasingly irritated glance. Finding a successor was often difficult, but much more so when you were leading a Satanic church. What she needed was someone who could still be shaped, who had no prior knowledge and experiences they had to work around, someone who didn't know "half-heartedly" - And there she stood in a white summer dress.
As the Papas and ghouls take her under their wings, a long journey begins.

"She's not 'my' curator," He stresses, even though the contact page's professional headshot of Lilly beckons him with her sweet smile.
'She's engaged and I have too much shit going on.' He thinks. 'She was just being nice. You've known her for two hours.'
"I don't want to hear it; she's engaged," He gets out right as Imperator begins to speak the sentence he knew she would. "And she's a professional. We're just part of her job and we are not going to cross that line."
"The Clergy grows restless that you are not indulging in the sins of the flesh, Cardi. It's not a good look when a Papa doesn't follow the rules."
