Summary
One hot summer night, Tengen and Rengoku decide to relive their mischievous teenage years and go for a midnight swim.

Tengen dies fighting Upper Moon 6, and is greeted in the afterlife by Kyojuro.

Tengen takes the opportunity to analyze him from the corner of his eye; his hair is a bold shade of golden blonde with red tips, and he wears it half pulled up with his bangs brushed back so that they stand straight up. His eyes are similar in color, gold on the outer rim and red in the middle, and he has thick eyebrows that end in two points. He wears a plain white haori along with a brown slayer uniform, which is pretty boring. Curiosity has Tengen trying to decipher what this guy’s all about based on his looks alone.
He promises to kill one of the Twelve Kizuki, and Uzui decides that he likes the newcomer. He almost hopes he becomes a hashira, just so he can get to know him better.A "Rengoku lives" AU that explores the relationship between Uzui and Rengoku as it blossoms into something neither of them would have expected, and what loves means for two Hashira.
