Link is avoiding the Domain.
That is Yona’s theory, at least - because she can’t necessarily prove he is avoiding the Domain. After all, he is the Hero of Hyrule. The Champion of Champions. And those titles certainly don’t come with much free time, especially after the Upheaval and the disappearance of Princess Zelda. So, the most logical conclusion is assuming the small Hylian just doesn’t have time for galavanting.
Only speculation, the whispers of others, and the ponderings of Sidon himself have led her to believe he might be evading visiting.

Taking a deep breath, he jumped. The free fall was, well, freeing. When he thought he’d fallen far enough, he unfolded the paraglider he’d received from the king.
His body jolted as the glider caught the wind and abruptly slowed his descent.
An arrow sailed toward him, flying just under his feet.
He immediately traced its path to a tree below, where he saw a pair of blood red eyes staring right at him.

Taking a shaking breath, he said, “Um. I—I’m sorry it got that far.”
It wasn’t just her twisted ankle, or the terror she’d never forget, or the dead man burning on a pyre outside. It was the tangled mess of guilt and resentment that had nearly sent them to a point of no return. Link wasn’t sure he could meet her eyes, so he just waited, both of them watching the desert for a long time.
“I think what I was trying to say before,” Zelda began eventually, “is that…you’ve been a kindness to me. And sometimes kindness can hurt.”

Link makes the mistake of testing one of his many theories on the avatar Sidon provided him with.
With the results of said test giving him more than he bargained for, Link has to grapple with both Sidon’s feelings and his own- all while Sidon is halfway across Hyrule, completely unaware of the things that Link has done with his avatar, yet all too aware that his vow has suddenly been dismissed.
