Hi all. This is my first ever fanfiction dedicated to a ship I've loved for ages; Beiguang. It's still a work in process but I'm planning to keep adding chapters whenever I feel inspired.
This story follows Ningguang's PoV: she is the CEO of a large, influential company and dedicates most of her time to work. She is still trying to navigate friendships and romantic relationships. With a large anniversary festival on the horizon, a special someone will totally change the tides in Ningguang's life :)
There's also a Ganyu/Keqing romantic subplot in the works.
This will contain a reverse fake dating trope which is part of the 'reverse trope challenge' ('instead of fake dating, everyone is convinced that you aren't actually dating')

Ningguang eyed Beidou as she watched the fire behind her eyes grow brighter with the thought of a challenge. She pretended to mull it over as she could practically feel Beidou buzzing in her hand with the effort of trying to remain still. Eventually, Ningguang sighed, and Beidou didn’t need any other signs or instructions to make her take action. She pulled Ningguang’s hand off her chin and placed it over her shoulder as she fully wrapped her hands around Ningguang’s waist and slowly led them toward her chambers.

Ningguang coughed awkwardly into her fist. “You’ve…you’ve stolen my heart.”
Beidou looked up in confusion before a shit-eating grin spread across her face. “Was that seriously your attempt at flirting?? That’s the worst thing I’ve heard in a while.”
Ningguang blushed hard.
“It…It wasn’t that bad, was it?”
“Oh, yes it was. Now, whatever shall we do about it…I can see only one possible solution.”
“What’s that?”
“Be mine.”...
Or in which, Ningguang sees Beidou as a pesky, law-breaking pirate, then starts meeting her for "useful information". Beidou works for Ningguang as a sort of pirate-spy on the docks of Liyue and the Treasure Hoarders. They meet up, and it's totally just work-related. Ningguang didn't spend all her free-time in the library searching for pick-up lines, nooo....
