Summary
There was once a time when the ill-tempered king of Mirkwood was simply a prince who was deeply in love. A prince who stood by his king in the dream that all of the races of Middle-Earth could be unified with each other. But as time went by, piece by piece, that world began to fall apart. The life he knew, the life he loved, faded into that same darkness that slowly consumed his realm.
Now, as his only son is about to set sail to the Undying Lands, Thranduil is finally ready to tell him the story he had not uttered in over 2000 years, the story Legolas had longed to hear his whole life - the story of his mother.

yet merging softly in the rose-tinted ray.This is an English translation of my own work written in Chinese with the help of LLM models these days. Though I am familiar with this language too, English is not my mother tongue and undoubtably there will be details lost and even some errors, as sentences in Chinese could be quite long. I’m curious about the translation quality and would appreciate any feedbacks.

Summary
After the end of season 2, the elves are building a haven in what will become Imladris and gathering their armies to strike back against Sauron. The scar left above Galadriel's heart by the spike of Morgoth's crown is healing. They may have lost the battle, but they have not yet lost the war.
And yet sometimes that scar aches. Sometimes she hears Halbrand's voice calling to her. And when two masked figures calling themselves Gaudrim arrive from Rhûn, saying they are elves of long-lost Doriath, Galadriel will not be the only one who finds healing a more complicated thing than it first appears.
(featuring: my those-Gaudrim-are-Sindarin-elves theory, Galadriel's crown stab injury as a Morgul-wound type of thing, masks, healing, and the overlap between marriage bonds and sorcery bonds.)

Thranduil always preferred the company of male elves, which
his father did not approve of. After Oropher ended his son's
relationship with Celebrimbor, he arranged a marriage for
Thranduil to the daughter of highborn Sindar elves from Forlond.
Once Oropher became king of Greenwood the Great, he and
Thranduil returned to Mithlond so the prince could wed his bride in Forlond.
Thranduil and Mívalyë returned to Greenwood as a married couple. However,
Thranduil met Feren, a soldier and guard in his father's court, and fell in love.
Mívalyë approves of their relationship, as long as Thranduil also spends
time with her. Eventually, the princess conceived but tragically lost the child.
Then, before war broke out, she decided to travel across Middle-earth.
She returns after the war ends with an elfling she found on her travels.
The princess conceives again, giving birth to Legolas. -
