Draco watched her approach, each step a dagger to his chest. In the bustling Leaky Cauldron, he stood there in his dark suit, the mark on his arm a constant reminder of everything he had become. She, in her Gryffindor uniform, was a cruel irony—a world apart from him.Then the scent of jasmine reached him—sweet, familiar, and far too gentle. It wrapped around him like a memory he couldn't escape, soothing the ache he thought he'd buried. It was the only thing that still moved him.
But she would never know. She could never know.
7th year:
"Bellatrix," Harry's voice cut through the silence, hanging heavily between them."Why didn't you tell her? You knew." The words hit Draco and cracked his chest in two. He wasn’t the naive 15-year-old anymore, crying alone into his pillow over a loss he couldn’t comprehend.
He had let go of everything, because of her— of his family, of himself, of all that had shaped him. But that agony, was his alone now. No one would ever understand it - not even Potter. Dumbledore and Snape were dead. But she will be safe with Potter. -

He talked in an American accent, knew more about the Political state of Britain than any other adult he's ever met, yet he claimed to have only lived in Spain his entire life. He often spoke downright weird phrases too, ones the five-year-old was pretty sure wasn't used in any country, though they sounded like inside jokes no one else knew the context to. But he was rich, and willing to take Tom away from here, so he'd take what he could get.
Phoenix never thought he'd wake up in the body of a rich, handsome man in a book series he hasn't even touched since High School. Much less 7 years before WW2 started and Grindelwald threw a tantrum about losing his boyfriend, but hey, who was he to complain? He was set for life now.
That said, he wasn't exactly fond of the idea of allowing that absolute train wreck of a plot- er, future to happen....
