Summary
There are worse ways to be caught. That’s what Sethos is; well and truly caught. He thought he was so inconspicuous, but nothing gets past Alhaitham and Kaveh, apparently.
or
Kaveh and Ahaitham are so damn tender and Sethos loves to watch. Will he get to join in?? (spoiler: yes)

Summary
...Because it should be ridiculous, to discuss the existence of a creature bound to the hours of the night, prowling around with bloodshed in mind… Technically speaking, it shouldn’t even exist — yet one is splitting the rent with him (at least for every other month), decorating rooms without asking him, and insisting on taking care of all the laundry while doing a terrible job at it. By straightforward logic, a vampire shouldn’t hold a copy of his house key, yet one does it anyway — against all the odds.

Summary
“Hey, Hat Guy! I finally figured out your name. Kabukimono, right?” Sethos stilled for a moment, unsure about Hat Guy’s reaction. “…Why are you looking at me like that? Did I mess up the pronunciation or something?”
Sethos has seen many different sorts of anger on Hat Guy’s face while following him, but never has he seen him so horror-struck.
Kabukimono was just the name that was stitched onto the little doll he had snatched from Hat Guy earlier that week.
Sethos couldn’t help but be intrigued by the scholar named Hat Guy. Admittedly, it had all begun with that hat, but they end up having much more in common than they’d initially thought.
oOo
Or: What Sethos sees as merely ‘following Hat Guy around’ would be described by most others as stalking, including Hat Guy himself.

Summary
Any scholar worth their salt would be more than enthusiastic about being able to get their hands on centuries worth of previously thought to be undocumented history and truth- Even Kaveh is hopeful he’ll be considered eligible enough for the opportunity to see the Temple of Silence with his very own eyes, though he wouldn’t be upset if a younger Kshahrewar scholar with more fire in the game got the opportunity instead. He might be the Light of Kshahrewar, but he’s hardly greedy or selfish; if someone else gets the opportunity, he’s sure they’ll without a doubt deserve it.
So to say the very least, yes, Kaveh completely understands why a Haravatat scholar- even one such as Alhaitham- would be more than a little enthusiastic about being able to see the Temple of Silence as well.
... And regardless of what happens with the Temple, Kaveh is just relieved that things have relatively gone back to normal.
Or; Alhaitham finds out exactly how much untapped potential there is to the Temple of Silence's archives, and proceeds to be insufferable about it. Kaveh copes with this ordeal about as well as you would expect him to. That is to say, not at all. Your honor, please cut this man some due slack.

“ Whisper the name of King Deshret. He was the one who brought this marvelous scene to the earth and allowed every citizen to travel freely, praising his majesty. You are free to roam here, but do not tarry too long on account of the golden vessel, the journey is not over yet.”
So-called feeble scholar Alhaitham is imprisoned for months by Sumeru’s secret society dedicated to eradicating forbidden knowledge. His friends are left to deal with the repercussions.

Summary
Once, Cyno described his madness as ‘a kind of living nightmare’. It was one of the few times he ever willingly spoke about his condition. Normally he prefers to pretend that it does not exist, which does little to aid their research - but they would not dare to force him. The higher-ups were clear - whatever Cyno says, goes, including refusals to cooperate.
(He is our only potential connection to Irminsul. Even in his madness, he knows things we do not.)
~=~
Or: The Akademiya forces Cyno to be exposed to divine knowledge, to get him out of the way. The Temple of Silence, and eventually Tighnari, picks up the pieces as best they can.

Summary
"A mixture of desperate anger, fear and anguish appear in Cyno’s gaze as he and the spirit fight for different things. His touches are erratic as desire and fear change. It’s the impersonation of Inazuma’s thunderstorms and the heavy rains of Sumeru’s forests, and Al-Haitham can’t help but watch this beautiful mess..."
A strange but enjoyable collection of Haino ( Hermanubis) short fics for the Corrupted Cyhaino Week 2023 on Twitter / X. Often include sex scenes, blood, possessive Haino and breaching of Akademiya TOS

Summary
“Can I help you?” Alhaitham asked, settling back into his chair. He was never completely sure where he stood with Tighnari. Were they friends? Possibly. Probably. They drank together, at least. But Tighnari was a little too sharp for Alhaitham’s comfort; he always felt a little transparent under his eyes. But now those eyes weren’t focused on him. They weren’t really focused on anything. Tighnari looked half-mad with exhaustion, hair mussed and ears twitching wildly. He leaned one hand heavily against the doorway as he slumped in place.
“Where is the Temple of Silence?”When Hermanubis turns against his host and leaves Cyno near dead, Alhaitham has too little time and too much desert to search in a desperate bid to find the Temple of Silence and the only people who might be able to save him. (Oh yeah. And then maybe he can confess.)

Some doors are meant to stay closed for a reason, especially if they hide the things you want to move away from your past.
