So when he begins to get sick, slowly losing control of his instincts and needing to drink with increasing frequency, his options are limited. He can either give up, exposing his secret to the rest of the Protocol and becoming ostracizedー or he can work through it by himself, retain his reputation and career without worry of being hunted.

And once the fight is over, seeing a wounded Sove attempting to tend to his bullet wounds, the idea comes back. A smirk graces his lips, and he flips out a card.
