Matt's holding onto him too tight. He knows he is, really he does. But something so deep inside of him won't let his hands let him go. Late at night he curls around himself, arms tight around his middle and Matt pretends that it's Adam's arms. Pretends that he's being squeezed tighter and tighter against his chest and if Matt closes his eyes tight enough, he can almost see the curve of Adam's back against the low light of the moon.

Losing sucked but getting all sweaty with Kazuchika Okada? That was great.
Not so great?
Sitting in the hallway on this stupid bench. It was uncomfortably cold and the ice pack was starting to get kind of drippy, even though his neck still needed it. He had actually gotten hit by a Rainmaker - the kid inside of him was still squeeing about that part. Tapping out to the Money Clip would have been so damn embarrassing but plenty of guys had had their world rocked by Okada's finisher and Phantasmo knew exactly why now. Okada hit so damn hard and he hadn't quite realized how strong he was until that first lock-up. He wouldn't underestimate that strength next time.
There was going to be a next time. No way that that was going to be his only time going one-on-one with that hot bod.

It had certainly been in his thoughts as he had flown to the other side of the world. In the back of his mind, not heavy but not weightless either.
So he was in unfamiliar halls, avoiding his assigned handler because he didn't want to be asked what he was searching for. And he wasn't quite searching as much as he was wandering and wondering. But somehow, Kazuchika wasn't surprised that he heard him before he saw him.
